Furthermore, fruit also packs in a good dose of fiber as well and fiber will help to slow the release of sugar in the blood stream, therefore it will combat the glucose found in the fruit.

Because of these two factors, you really don’t have to worry too much about the sugar found in fruit.
If you were aiming to lose those last five pounds and really tightening up your diet plan, then yes, you likely would want to omit most fruits for the time being as you’ll likely be only focusing on vegetable carbohydrates, but in a moderate diet plan, fruit isn’t an issue as long as the calories are accounted for.

If you’re really worried about the sugar content in fruit, choose berries as these fruits are the lowest in total sugar content.

Fruit And Nutrients

Finally, the last thing that you must remember about fruit is the fact that it’s also loaded with a wide variety of nutrients as well. Fruit is very high in vitamin C, fiber (as mentioned), vitamin A, along with a number of powerful antioxidants that will help to combat free radical damage.

This means that it’s going to offer superior disease prevention benefits and will really help to enhance your overall health state.

While losing weight is important and something that you should be aiming to do, you cannot overlook the fact that as you go about your weight loss journey, you should also be focusing on health as well.

Health is going to determine how you feel on a day to day basis and how well your body functions, so a weight loss diet does no good if it leaves you low on energy and feeling miserable on a day to day basis.

So add back the fruit to your diet plan. Two to three pieces per day, as long as you do count the calories contained in the fruit, is no problem as far as your results are concerned.
